UK GDPR applies to most areas of business, including the Professional (Private) Investigation fraternity, whether a sole trader, limited company or multi-national organisation who collects, stores and/or processes personal data. On paper thanks to certain entities, it seems to be a complicated science that has had some Investigators in a state of total despair thinking they will go out of business if they don’t do this or that, which costs them financial commitments they can ill afford. Panic not because the Guide you are about to read is intended to clarify the mysteries of UK GDPR and signpost you to ICO authoritative data protection information, it is totally free, as are the included example templates which are ready for use. Most important of all said Guide is for the Investigation Industry as a whole not possessively restricted to any one organisation, and practitioners nationwide regardless of affiliations are welcome to be part of the COPI UK community.
