Home Confederation of Professional Investigators UK - COPI UK

Since 1976, the Institute of Professional Investigators (IPI) has sought to encourage and promote its members to achieve and maintain a high standard of professionalism whilst engaged in their investigative activities. IPI is the only “Institute” within the private investigation sector in the United Kingdom, and consider their members to be truly representative of the investigation sector. The management of the Institute is vested in a Board of Governors consisting of elected participants.

Institute of Professional Investigators UK PIN

The UKPIN was created to provide private investigators, private detectives tracing agents, enquiry agents, process servers, investigation agencies, detective agencies, professional investigative specialists and forensic experts in the United Kingdom (UK), England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and international Private Investigators with a dedicated medium to network with each other and exchange business and information.

Core Stakeholder Industry Trade Groups

The Confederation of Professional Investigators invites and encourages all industry trade groups throughout the UK to join and unite as a collective to work together for the best interests of investigators and their clients, now and in the future. There is no cost involved in becoming a COPI UK Core Stakeholder, each group will have an equal voice in the Confederation and nominate one Board Member to represent them and their members. COPI UK will operate with transparency, in a non-political manner and in no way interfere with the business operations of any of the Core Stakeholders.

The Confederation of Professional Investigators UK is in its infancy with five Core Stakeholders, and stated aims and objectives, which we would seek to develop and build upon together. We would very much welcome as many trade groups as possible to join us in our mission to ensure the future of the Investigation industry is professional, compliant, independently and fairly regulated in the UK, qualified and ultimately respected by clients, government, the legal profession and the public in general. Take that first step to a united future and contact COPI UK.
